SOLUDE Coffee is a Connecticut-based air-roasted specialty coffee brand. Real product, mission-driven, technically differentiated (air-roasting vs. drum-roasting). They were getting beat online by larger DTC competitors with bigger budgets and louder voices, despite having a better story and better product.
Low organic reach. Unclear customer journey on the site. Brand story wasn't landing online. Previous content attempts (blogs, newsletters) read flat and didn't drive engagement. Repeat customers existed but new customer acquisition was inconsistent.
We didn't rebrand. We amplified what was already there. Lead with authentic farmer and roasting stories instead of generic charity messaging. Monthly long-form blog content combining roasting expertise with the human stories behind the beans. SEO targeting both coffee enthusiasts and cause-driven consumers. Site redesign that put air-roasting benefits and the mission above the fold.
Daily orders went from 5–10 to 15–20+ on a sustained basis. Time on site jumped 43%. Repeat customer rate climbed once story-driven content launched and customers had something to come back for beyond the product. Sales momentum stabilized into compounding growth instead of spike-and-dip patterns.
The brand voice is now distinctive in a category full of sameness. The owner doesn't have to compete on shipping speed or discount stacking — the story does the heavy lifting and the product does the rest.
